Restaurants and large facilities don't behave like houses. A 14-ton RTU sitting over a kitchen with 4,000 CFM of exhaust needs makeup air, controls, and a balance plan that residential techs simply aren't trained for. SBM works on commercial systems every day — that's the whole business.

Why kitchens go negative (and how we fix it)

If your kitchen is hot, smoky, or pulling air from the dining room when the hoods kick on, the system is unbalanced. We measure actual exhaust and supply CFM, compare it to design, and adjust hoods, MUA units, and dampers until the kitchen runs at the slight negative the code wants — usually around 0.02 to 0.05 inches of water column.

That's almost always a makeup-air or hood-balance problem. We measure exhaust CFM against MUA CFM, rebalance the system, and adjust controls so the kitchen runs at the correct slight negative without starving the dining room.

Do you offer maintenance contracts?+

Yes. Quarterly and bi-annual PM plans for restaurants, hospitals, schools, and multi-tenant facilities. Filter changes, coil cleaning, belt and refrigerant checks, and full reports each visit.

How fast can you respond to a no-cool / no-heat call?+
